What Liquid Spill / Water Ingress means?

Any form of liquid that has been spilt on your computer, this will seep its way into your machine and normally find a way out at the opposite end. The liquid is not always what will cause the damage, some machines will often work once they are dry. However, water leaves behind minerals and these mineral deposits will corrode away at your motherboard and all the delicate metal connections, often leading to complete failure. Coffee and sugary drinks are very nasty and often do lots of damage.

Symptoms?

You will normally know if you have got your pc or computer wet but there’s a list of common symptoms below.

Intermittent faults ranging from the monitor flickering to the machine restarting itself.

Strange noises from the hard drive and fans.

Lights may start to fail or only work intermittently.

Items plugged into usb ports such as a mouse or keyboard, phones, printers ect can all stop working.

How long will the replacement or repair take?

Diagnosis is normally done on the same day of collection. Depending on what needs to be done and what parts if any are required will all determine how long it will take. The expected time should 1 – 4 days maybe longer if the machine is still dripping wet when the rep-air booking is made.
