Replacement Laptop Motherboards

What the laptop Motherboard does?

A motherboard is the underlying circuit board of a computer. The central processing unit (CPU), Random Access Memory (RAM), hard drive(s), disk drives and optical drives are all plugged into interfaces on the motherboard. A video interface and sound card can be optionally built-in or added. Simply put it is similar to a body’s nerve system, in that it brings everything together.

Symptoms?

Your laptop may beep as it starts.

The laptop will start up for a few seconds before turning off, this probably means you have a short on the board.

Faults can be intermittent at first with errors such as shutting off or blue screening (BSOD).

It may feel like it takes an age to eventually read a few emails.

Causes?

Many are damaged from liquid ingress, vibration, shock damage and overheating. They can also go through under and over voltage from faulty chargers or DC Jacks. Or the fan is getting blocked causing long term damage.

How long will the replacement or repair take?

Diagnosis is normally done on the same day depending on when you book your repair and when its collected. The required repair is done once any needed parts arrive at the workshop.
