Average Repair Time – 2-3 Days
A few inverters are held in stock, however most will be on a 2-3 delivery. The repair will then be completed the same day as the new inverter arrives.

How the inverter works
The inverter is a part in the laptop that feeds a higher voltage than the rest of the laptop requires (AC rather than DC) to a florescent tube. This tube is the back light to your screen. Simply it is the part that makes it bright.
Symptoms?
The screen can appear as if its not working, shine a light on to the screen, and you may be able to see the faint image of your operating system, if you can then your inverter needs replacing.
The screen may flicker for no reason.
You may be able to hear a faint buzzing or electric sounding noise.
The screen may intermittently turn off.
Causes?
Inverters are normally fairly solid and not likely to go wrong. The main causes of them dying is age, over or under voltage or shorts else where on the motherboard.
How long will the replacement or repair take?
We often have a few inverters in stock but there are so many that we will probably have to order a replacement in. These are normally on a 2-3 delivery, we will normally tell you when we give you a quote or at the time of the repair booking.
