Average Repair Time – 2-3 Days
A few sets of hinges are held in stock, most are on a 2-3 delivery. The repair will be completed the same day as the new hinges arrive.
What we can do – Diagnose the required repair, check that all plastics are ok and replace missing eyelets as needed. Replace both hinges at the same time.
Warranty – All new hinges come with a 90 day parts and labour warranty.

What the hinges do?
Hinges are a self explanatory part of the laptop they simply hold the lid to the base enabling you to open and close the laptop. They also give the ability for the user to position the laptop screen (lid) at an angle to suits them best.
Symptoms?
The lid can become very stiff to the point that it may feel like something is going to break if you push it any harder.
The lid can become lose and no longer be able hold itself in position.
It can feel like the laptop is twisting as you open and close it.
Sometimes screws will come lose and fall out of the lid.
Causes?
Often damaged by dropping the laptop. They can also be damaged from incorrect handling such as picking up the laptop using the lid. Sometimes they just go faulty with age.
How long will the replacement or repair take?
We always replace both hinges at the same time. We may have your replacement hinges in stock but there are so many that we will probably have to order the replacements in. These are normally on a 2-3 delivery, we will normally tell you when we give you a quote or at the time of the repair booking.
