When is recovery impossible?
Although not common sometimes the storage media is to damaged. When the data is too corrupted there is no way for it to be recognised as data so extraction is impossible. When the storage device has liquid damage it is sometimes impossible to recovery all data as there’s mineral deposits left by water in the liquid.
